The Global Volunteer Network Foundation allows donors the opportunity to effect change in countries around the world. The Foundation works with local community organisations to implement sustainable development projects. Whether that be building a school for orphans of HIV/AIDS or buying endangered rainforest they work to provide communities with the resources they need. They are currently working with community organisations throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
The vision of The Global Volunteer Network Foundation is to support the charitable and educational work of local community organisations in various countries through the distribution of financial, in-kind and material donations and the placement of international volunteers.
They believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their own needs and therefore provide volunteers to help them achieve their own goals.

Education and Schools
Local pre-schools in the village, with children ages 2-6, are in need of volunteers to help teach basic reading, writing and counting, as well as colours, shapes and games for younger children. Also many young Tanzanian students need extra help with their school work, as a lack of proper school material and old fashioned teaching methods make their learning very challenging.
Teaching Computer Skills
There is generally a lack of computer training in Bagamoyo due to a lack of computers and qualified teachers. Computer skills are a necessity in the modern world and would strongly benefit anyone who would get the opportunity to learn. Volunteers can teach computer skills to local teachers as well as local project staff. We recommend qualified volunteers.
Small Scale Businesses
Bagamoyo need volunteers to help small scale businesses that are already up and running with marketing, accounting and other related issues.
